AL chief meets head of Syria's Tomorrow Movement

Arab League (AL) Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit has met with Head of Syria's Tomorrow Movement Ahmad al Jarba and his accompanying delegation.
The meeting touched on various aspects of the Syrian crisis, with more focus on supporting Syria in this critical stage, spokesman for AL chief Mahmoud Afifi said in statements on Sunday.
For his part, al Jarba has briefed Abul Gheit on the situation on the ground, especially in eastern regions of Syria, where several forces are struggling to take control of these areas, the spokesman added.
Also, al Jarba has posted the AL chief on mediation efforts exerted to create de-escalation zones in Eastern Ghouta and the northern countryside of Hams, according to the spokesman.
