Egypt's Mufti leaves Cairo for Azerbaijan
Egypt's Mufti Shawqi Allam

Egypt's Mufti Shawqi Allam left here on Wednesday for the Azeri capital Baku to take part in an international conference on "the importance of union at the time of crises" sponsored by Azeri President Ilham Aliyev.
Allam's participation comes at an invitation from the head of the Baku-based Administration of Muslims of the Caucasus
The conference comes as part of the proceedings of the "Year of Solidarity" launched by Aliyev.
Egypt's Mufti is scheduled to deliver a speech at the conference which is held over two days in the presence of Azeri President.
