
Ahmed Abdul Rahman Al Jarman, Assistant Foreign Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for Political Affairs, and Khalid Ghanem Al Ghaith, Assistant Foreign Minister for Economic Affairs, have received Ann Sophie Kisling, Chair of the Middle East/Gulf Working Party at EEAS, and her accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, they reviewed a number of issues of mutual concern and ways to enhance co-operation and bilateral relations in the best interest of the two sides as well as exchanging views on regional and international issues.
Al Jarman emphasised the UAE's keenness on developing co-operation and partnership with the EU which reflects the aspirations of the higher leaderships of both sides and in the best interest of the two parties.
He also called for expansion of the joint co-operation in bilateral and multilateral ties to better levels and horizons which would contribute to boosting them in various domains. He also stressed the importance of co-ordinating the stances and clear political positions that support the country's relations with its European partners at regional and global events.
Kisling hailed the existing strategic partnership between EU and the UAE as well as the desire of the two sides to expand co-operation in all bilateral and multilateral fields. She also highlighted the UAE's role in the humanitarian, regional and international arenas.
Dr. Jassim Mohammed Al Khalofi, Director of the Department of Arab Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and Ahmed Ali Al Baloushi, Director of the GCC Countries' Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, also attended the meeting.
