AL chief meets Chinese FM to discuss relations

Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit met Friday with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in New York to discuss ways of boosting relations between the Arab countries and Beijing.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly meetings in New York where Abul Gheit had talks with a number of senior officials of active countries on the international arena.
Spokesman for the AL Mohamoud Afify said the meeting dealt with ways of boosting relations and cooperation between both sides in the political, economic and cultural fields, in addition to other fields of cooperation.
Abul Gheit and Wang Yi also exchanged views on a number of important issues of common interest at the international and regional levels, Afify added.
