HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Athletics Association and Honorary President of the Bahrain Disabled Sports Federation expressed his appreciation to Tariq Pastries for joining the sponsors of the third edition of Khalid Bin Hamad Theatres Festival For National Clubs, Youth Centres and People With Disability.

It is worth mentioning that Tariq Pastries has been announced as the hospitality partner of the festival.

The festival is organised for the third consecutive year on October 4 to 21 at Muharraq Model Youth Centre by the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs and the Media Office of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa under the patronage of HH.

It comes within Khalid Bin Hamad Al-Khalifa Initiatives to support the youth of the Kingdom of Bahrain and engage them with different events and activities.

This year's edition is themed #Let's_Plant_A_Smile and aims at empowering the youth in the fields of cultural and humanitarian works.

12 plays will be performed by local youth clubs during the 18 day long festival, which will also include three additional shows that will be held on the sidelines of the main shows.

HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa welcomed the initiative of Tariq Pastries to join the sponsors of the festival as a hospitality partner, adding that the strategies of the company reflect its concern on supporting the youth and sports movement in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

On his part, Tariq Mahmood, General Manager of Tariq Pastries said that the company is proud to sponsor the festival and that it appreciates the unending supporting of HH to the different youth and sports events and activities in the Kingdom.

He explained that the sponsorship comes within the responsibilities of the company to achieve community partnership by supporting youth, sports, cultural and social programmes in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Tariq Mahmood also expressed that Tariq Pastries is proud to cooperate with the programmes, initiatives and activities of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

Yaqoub Yusuf, Member of the Khalid Bin Hamad Theatres Festival Jury said the festival will sure reveal new Bahraini talents of both genders, as well people with disabilities, in the fields of theatres and acting.

Yusuf asserted that the festival delivers a message to the entire Arab Nation about the development of Bahraini arts, especially theatres.

He said that the jury will spare no efforts to ensure that all the participating performances are fairly evaluated to grant the team that performs the best play the honour of winning the title of His Highness's festival.

Yusuf predicted strong competition between the participating 12 teams, who were chosen among 32 teams that initially applied for the festival to compete and perform before the audience and judges.

The rehearsals of the participating 12 teams continue as the commencement of the festival approaches.

Galali Sports and Cultural Club announced that they will perform their play "A Safe Place for Insanity" in the third edition of the festival.

Abdulrahman Faqeehi, Director of the Play said the crew is ready to perform the play before the audience and judges, mentioning that they have recently participated in similar local events that included Awal Theatres Festival, Al-Sawari Youth Festival and Gilgamesh Duodrama Festival.
