Manchester United defender Luke Shaw signed a new five-year contract with the Premier League club on Thursday.

Shaw's current agreement was to expire after this season and the new deal keeps him at Old Trafford until 2023.

“Since I came to United, it’s been a whirlwind four years that have passed so quickly,” the 23-year-old England international said in a statement.

“I want to let everyone know that I will give everything I have to repay them and deliver success over the years to come.”

Shaw has started all nine games he's played this season, scoring once.

He's made 75 appearances since joining United from Southampton in 2014.
