Ukraine supports President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's efforts to build a modern, stable and safe democratic state in Egypt, says its Ambassador here Gennady Laty.
Kiev is very much keen on enhancing bilateral ties with Cairo at all levels, Laty said in statements to MENA Wednesday.
Egypt plays a key role in achieving peace, security and stability in the Middle East and North Africa, said Laty.
Ukraine, which celebrates its Independence Day tomorrow, counts on Egypt's support for its unity and sovereignty, particularly at the UN and other international organizations, the diplomat added.
He said he is sure both his country and Egypt have a desire to upgrade political dialogue between them because this would contribute to boosting joint cooperation.
Cairo and Kiev marked 25 years of diplomatic relations in January.
