More than 90 people were rescued after an old people's home in the northern German city of Hamburg caught fire late on New Year's Eve, dpa quoted police as reporting Friday.
Three of those brought to safety were reported to have light injuries.
Authorities say the fire began at about 11 pm (2200 GMT Thursday) and was likely started by a firework. The fire damaged the building's top storey, while the rest of the building suffered water damage as the fire was extinguished.
