
Prime Minister Sherif Ismail has expressed the state's keenness on meeting the demands of Nubia's residents.
In press statements Tuesday, the prime minister said the agencies concerned are following up the implementation of development and service projects for the Nubian people.
The prime minister expressed hope for providing an additional EGP 270 millions this fiscal year for completing the current projects, pointing out that a priority would be given to Nubia residents in Khor Qindi area.
On the projects in Nasr el Nuba area, the prime minister, said the projects include schools, a military hospital and a culture center.
Ismail said 90 percent of projects in Nubia area including sewage, drinking water and housing had been fulfilled.
The prime minister asserted that the state has been transparently dealing with accumulated problems in the Nubia area within the framework of keenness of the country's political leadership on carrying out projects for the Nubians who represent an inseparable part of the Egyptian fabric.
