Chief of Staff follows "Bright Star 2017" activities

Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces Mahmoud Hegazi witnessed Wednesday the shooting exercise with live ammunition as part of the activities of the Egyptian-US joint military exercise "Bright Star 2017".
Hegazi said that the joint exercise contributes to exchanging experience between the both parties, stressing that resuming the "Bright Star" drills is a strong indication on the depth of the partnership relations between Egypt and the US, especially in the military field.
Meantime, US Army Central deputy commanding J. McKenrick lauded the abilities and efficiency of the Egyptian armed forces assuring that combating terrorism requires more of joint cooperation to confront it.
He also wished that the military exercise "Bright Star 2017" will include participation of Arab and friendly countries.
Bright Star is seen as one of the most important joint military exercises between the armed forces of Egypt and the US as they reflect strong military cooperation between the two countries.
