Dubai - Arabstoday
Dubai Municipality expects to complete its Port Saeed project to open a park in Deira by the end of this year, said a senior official. Engineer Hussain Nasser Lootah, Director General of Dubai Municipality, said that Port Saeed Park would be built in an area of about 25,000 square metres and it would consist of green spaces in addition to shaded walking tracks, seats and grounds. He said various facilities in the park would be made out of recycled materials for the first time. "The new park will be a place for people to interact, relax and entertain in the heavily populated area of Deira in Dubai," he added. In line with its commitment to preserve environment, he said the municipality would use alternative solar energy system, in addition to LED technology in lighting, which increases the efficiency of the operating system.
