Heavy downpours in Kuwait.
Kuwait - Xinhua

Kuwait on Wednesday suspended work at all ministries, state institutions, faculties and schools as a precautionary step to cope with unstable weather conditions across the country.

The decision was made by the Kuwaiti government on Tuesday, as forecasts by local and global meteorologists said that there would be heavy downpours and active winds with high speed in Kuwait, according to the report of the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).

The Kuwaiti government appealed to all people to be cautious and follow up instructions and guidelines issued by official agencies.

Kuwait Municipality has deployed 6,000 workers and 1,100 pieces of machinery to the six governorates to address emergency that could emerge from unstable weather, KUNA said.

In addition, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Health on Tuesday announced to provide round-the-clock services across the country to deal with emergency caused by volatile weather conditions
