HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, son of HRH the Crown Prince and Chairman of the High Organising Committee of the World Arabian Horse Organisation (WAHO) Conference, presented to HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa appreciation and gratitude for HM's patronage of the conference.
HH Shaikh Isa stated that HM the King's support for the Conference shows his significant interest in the noble goals of the WAHO Conference and noted the backing of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, to the conference, stating that HRH's inauguration to the event and his remarks confirm Bahrain's enormous attention to purebred Arabian horses.
"The broad international participation at the WAHO conference and its supporting functions aimed at highlighting the beauty of horses were praised by all participants. Bahrain has been at the forefront of the countries playing an active role in preserving the purity of purebred Arabian horses," HH Shaikh Isa said.
HH Shaikh Isa praised the efforts of Peter Pond and all members of the executive committee in promoting the organisation thanks to the programmes and activities they design annually, and thanked all the committees for making the event a tremendous success.
The Late HH Shaikh Faisal bin Hamad Al Khalifa Purebred Arabian Horse Beauty Show will commence today in the equestrian arena at the Bahrain International Endurance Village. It is organised by the Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF).
The Championship will be held in line with international standards and will include various categories of purebred Arabian horses officially registered in WAHO's offices.
A High Organising Committee was earlier formed under the chairmanship of HH Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, President of BREEF, and comprising Dr Khalid Ahmed Hassan, President of the Royal Studs; Ghalib Mukhtar Al Alawi, General Secretary of BREEF; Tawfiq Al Salehi, Head of the Media Committee, and Shaikh Ahmed bin Isa, the Treasurer.
The Committee also includes Hussain Jassim Al Sakran, Haider Al Zuabi, Manager of BREEF, Elias Ibrahim, and Mahmood Faraj.
HRH the Late Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Khalifa Studs hosted within their premises a show for purebred Arabian horses. The event was attended by many dignitaries and VIPs participating in the WAHO Conference.
HH Shaikh Salman bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa welcomed the President of WAHO and praised the organisation's efforts in developing the field of purebred Arabian horses. The event featured some rare and unique purebred Arabian horses.
