Tourist guide, Dina Khaled
Cairo – Mohammed Ammar

Tourist guide, Dina Khaled said that, Cairo owns a great history of tourism especially in the famous places such as, Khan al-Khalili, al-Ghouria, al-Sagha, Old Egypt and the Citadel, and there are some books published in Spain and England about tourism’s attractions in the world including Cairo.

She said that, there are a group of Arab counties such as, Bahrain, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia and Morocco managed to increase its tourism by creating places that look like Cairo.

She added that, contemporary historical books about the French Revolution and English invasions are the reasons behind Cairo’s fame, and the students of contemporary history praise old Cairo for its unique architectural engineering and Egyptian spirit.

She anticipates that tourism in old Cairo will increase, especially after a study published in Latin America that says the most appealing places in the world is the birth place of Nobel laureate, Naguib Mahfouz.
