AL chief invited for AU meeting on Libya

Arab League (AL) Chief Ahmed Abul Gheit received on Tuesday an invitation from President of the Republic of the Congo Denis Sassou Nguesso to take part in an African Union meeting on Libya.
The meeting will be held in Brazzaville on September 9 with the participation of presidents of the member states of the African Union High Level Committee on Libya, as well as a number of Libyan officials.
The meeting aims at reaching a settlement to the Libyan crisis and overcoming obstacles hindering the implementation of the Skhirat agreement.
The invitation was presented by visiting Congolese Foreign Minister Jean Claude Gakosso during his meeting with Assistant Secretary General of the pan-Arab body Ambassador Hossam Zaki.
