Al Malahim said that he was working in the government sector and when he retired in 1990, he thought to increase his monthly income to improve the family situation because the pension is not enough for him and his family. Therefore, he thought to build a tent on the door of Shobak Castle to provide hot and cold drinks for tourists in addition to foods, and to sell traditional jewelry, antiques and heritage clothing.
He added that during his presence in the castle noted that the people of the region have fled the area for education, so he wanted to revive the region through tourism project.
Al Malahim said that he found a deserted and neglected cave, so he exploited it. He took a financial loan from the Ministry of Social Development to prepare the cave for the reception of tourists.
