Chinese official praises Egypt’s role in Africa

Chairman of Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) of Guangdong Committee Wang Rong asserted the important role played by Egypt in Africa and the Arab world, expressing his gratitude of the strong relations binding the two countries. 
He made the remarks during a meeting on Wednesday with Alexandria Governor Mohamed Sultan, in the presence of China's Consul General in Alexandria Xu Nanshan.
During the meeting, the pair have touched on ways of boosting bilateral ties and establishing fraternity agreements between the Chinese Guangdong province and the coastal city. 
China looks forward to fostering relations with all cities as it pays great attention to strengthening ties and exchanging experience between Alexandria and Guangdong, Rong said.
For his part, Alexandria governor praised the deep relations between Egypt and China, expressing his full support for the Chinese community and Chinese investors.
Alexandria seeks to cement cooperation with Guangdong and make good use of the pioneering experience of the Chinese province in achieving progress and development, Sultan added.
The governor called for signing a cooperation protocol between Alexandria and Guangdong and probing the available investment projects in different fields, including transport, hotels, education, training and planning.
