President Abdel Fattah El Sisi delegated Thursday Defense Minister Sedki Sobhi to lay down a wreath of flowers at the Armed Forces martyrs memorial in Cairo's Nasr City.
The action falls within the framework of Egypt's celebration of the Veteran Warrior and Martyr Day.
Armed Forces Chief of Staff Mohamed Hegazy and the Armed Forces top brass accompanied Sobhi.
Meanwhile, Sobhi delegated army field leaders to lay down wreaths of flowers at unknown soldier memorials in various governorates.
