General Security Chief, General Abbas Ibrahim
Lebanon - Arab Today

General Security Chief, General Abbas Ibrahim, maintained on Tuesday that his agency was coordinating with the security apparatuses worldwide in order to protect Lebanon from the perils of terrorism, adding that the directorate also provided those authorities with needed information for that matter.

"Lebanon is immune on the security level, compared to the region's countries for many reasons," he told a panel of officers who visited him at his office to congratulate him upon the advent of the new year.
"The Lebanese society in general does not constitute a supportive environment for destructive terrorist ideologies," he stressed.

"The new year carries along many security and administrative challenges," he indicated.

He lastly revealed that work was underway to form a General Security unit specialized with fighting corruption.
