UAE Ambassador meets with Mufti of Lebanon

Hamad Saeed Sultan Al Shamsi, UAE Ambassador to Lebanon, has met with Sheikh Abdel-Latif Derian, Mufti of the Republic of Lebanon, at Dar al Fatwa headquarters.
Al Shamsi congratulated the Mufti of Lebanon on the new Islamic year, wishing all Arab and Islamic nations peace and security. They also discussed current developments in Lebanon and the region.
Derian expressed his thanks and appreciation to the UAE for its stand alongside Lebanon in various fields, especially providing assistance to displaced Syrians to help them overcome their difficulties.
Ambassador Al Shamsi said, "The UAE always stands by the Lebanese brothers and the displaced Syrians by providing them with assistance, highlighting the efforts exerted by Dar al Fatwa in Lebanon to counter terrorism and spread Islam's teachings of moderation and peace away from fanaticism and extremism.
