Iraqi military units deployed along the west bank of the Tigris River in preparation for the military operation scheduled to be conducted during the coming days to liberate Mousl’s right bank from the grip of ISIS.

Meanwhile, American Colonel Patrick Work revealed that his troops prepare currently to begin their attacks on the right bank of the city to liberate it from the extremists, stressing that they resume pressuring the extremist militias from the western side.

The American leader in Iraq raised the importance of artillery support during the coming battle, as it will be launched against ISIS strongholds regardless of weather, saying that the positions of American artillery have been modified after liberation of the eastern side of the Iraqi city.

On the other hand, the International Coalition attacked a car carrying two extremist leaders, including Abu Ahmed and Abu Maha at Aserjkhanh district. The statement coincided with what was announced by Kurdistan’s Security Council over the killing of Abu Ahmed with another leading member of the extremist group in an air raid targeting them in the right bank of Mousl.

Baghdad’s Operation leadership announced that 25 civilians have been killed and injured during the bombing witnessed at Al Sadr city, on the eastern side of Baghdad. Spokesperson of Baghdad’s Operation Saad Moen said that the explosion’s victims increased to five dead and 20 injured. Sources revealed that the raids have been launched upon information from the military intelligence, saying it killed a number of group’s leaders.

The Iraqi army managed to control the eastern side of Mousl, as they expelled the extremist militants from the area, while it prepares currently for launching operations to liberate the rest of the city. Tanks and armored vehicles moved recently to the city’s western side and the roads leading to the southern area.

On the other hand, Anbar’s security leader Hadi Kassar said, in a statement Thursday, that the security forces managed to arrest two prisoners who escaped from their prison in Ramadi city, the largest city in Anbar, saying that Anbar’s security forces raised a state of alert to arrest all other escapees.

Head of Anbar’s security committee Rage Barakat revealed, “ISIS attacked a telecom tower at Rowda district, as the extremist militants kidnapped 16 civilians.” He warned that the group’s militants are still existed in Anbar desert, calling for preparing a military plan for the operations in the desert.

In the same context, President of the Strategic Research Center of the Expediency Council Ali Akbar Velayati stressed that his country works to defend the unification of Iraq, describing it as one of the greatest democracies in the Arab world. He added, during a meeting with Secretary General of the Islamic Union of Kurdistan Salah Al Din Bahaa, that the idea to divide the country contradicts with the policies adopted by the Iraqi government

He added that Iran support both the government and people of Iraq, stressing their insistence on preventing the foreign interference in Iraq’s internal affairs.
