Egypt's Enppi, Petrojet accomplish 60% of natural gas network expansion in Jordan

Egypt's Enppi and Petrojet companies accomplished 60 percent of a project for expanding the natural gas network in Jordan.

The project will be finalized next October, Egyptian Petroleum Minister Tareq El-Molla said in a press statement on Monday.

El-Molla made the remark during a visit to Amman where he met with Jordan's Prime Minister Omar al Razzaz and Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Hala Zawati.

Egypt and Jordan signed an agreement for promoting cooperation in training and exchanging expertise in the fields of natural gas and petroleum domains as well as IT.

Mulla's talks with the Jordanian side covered bilateral cooperation in the energy score alongside means of magnifying the benefit of natural gas resources.

Razzaz stressed the amicable Egyptian-Jordanian ties, highlighting the importance of drawing on Egypt's expertise in the oil and natural gas domains.

Following the meeting, El-Molla and Zawati met with workers in the Jordanian-Egyptian Fajr Natural Gas Company and companies affiliated to Enppi, Petrojet, Egypt Gas and Gasco which are operating in Jordan.
