Mazad to hold e-auction for vehicle number plates

“Mazad” has announced that it will, in cooperation with Arabian Auction, put a selection of new special private vehicle number plates in the Kingdom of Bahrain for electronic auction (e-auction).
Those wishing to purchase the new numbers may participate in the e-auction through the website of “Arabian Auction” or the mobile application from today, May 6, until May 20.
On this occasion, CEO of Mazad, Talal Aref Alaraifi said that arrangements are under way to organise the electronic auction in cooperation with the “Arabian Auction” company in line with the highest standards, adding that the website has been designed to facilitate the bidding process, the registration of participants and announcing the successful bidders.
Alaraifi noted that the e-auction is another mechanism adopted by “Mazad” to provide an opportunity for the public to purchase special private vehicle number plates in a transparent, fair and competitive way.
He pointed out that 30 number plates will be put for e-auction, with a starting bid worth BD 100, adding that bidding can be done through the following website: http://www.arabian.auction/ or through downloading the application -Arabian Auction.
Arabian Auction Board Chairman and Managing Director, Abdulla Matar Al Mannai, said: “”We are delighted to cooperate again with Mazad in organising the second auction for vehicle number plates in the Kingdom of Bahrain, following the great success of the first auction, and we are confident that the 30 auctioned numbers will draw a great number of bidders, especially amid the easy participation provided through the website or the special applications of “Arabian Auction”.
Al-Mannai pointed out that the “Arabian Auction” company, through close cooperation with “Mazad” company, is looking forward to providing the best and fastest bidding ways for the public through ensuring equal opportunities for all, and using modern technology and advanced systems according to the best international practices to allow everyone to purchase special private vehicle numbers by registering on the website or through the smart phone application, which paves the way for participation from anywhere in the world freely.
He added that the participation method and ways to pay the insurance are available at the website or the special application.

“Mazad” is the latest company established under the umbrella of Bahrain Holding Company (Mumtalakat) to hold and manage auctions.
The company recently signed an agreement with the “Arabian Auction” company to manage the auctioning of Bahraini private vehicle number plates.
The company held the first auction for 40 special private vehicle number plates on April 13 in the presence of around 1,500 people.
