Economic Development Sector approves Protocol on Marine Environment Protection

The Cabinet's Economic Development Sector in a meeting which was chaired by Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, Bedr-Eddin Mahmoud, Tuesday, approved a Protocol on Marine Environment Protection from land activities at the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden and Protocol on Biodiversity Preservation presented by Minister of Natural Resources and Physical Development.
The Sector stressed that the contracted parties to take the necessary measures to protect the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden environment from pollution resulted in from any sources or land activities .
The meeting asserted importance of preservation and of biodiversity and protection of sites of special importance.
