UNICEF's representative hails gov’t efforts to combat poverty

UNICEF Representative in Egypt Bruno Maes has commended efforts exerted by the government to combat poverty via different social protection programs, notably Takaful and Karama and the overall health insurance.
He made the remarks on Sunday during his participation in a forum on providing a platform for social protection in Egypt.
The event is organized by the Social Solidarity Ministry, the International Labor Organization, the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) and the World Health Organization (WHO).
