A rocket was launched from the Gaza Strip late Wednesday, hitting an area in southern Israel, said the Israeli army Thursday.
The rocket hit an area in the city of Ashkelon but did not result in any casualties or damage to properties, said the Israeli army. No Palestinian faction claimed responsibility for the attack.
