A new spate of violence that erupted across Karachi resulted in five deaths, according to local media. Five persons including one political activist were killed last night in Karachi, the capital of southern Sindh province. While in Korangi one person was killed by unknown persons’ firing. The deceased was identified as an activist of a political party targeted and killed by eight armed motorcycle riders wearing helmets, police said. One person was killed by firing near a shopping Mall on Rashid Minhas Road. The body has been shifted to the Jinnah Hospital by the police and further investigating into the incident, GEO News TV reported on Sunday. Karachi has seen series of ethnic, political and sectarian killings in recent months.
