EGX gains EGP 4.4bn, index up 1.9 pct

The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) indexes made gains at the end of Tuesday's trading backed by share purchase operations by local, Arab and foreign investment institutions and funds.
The market capital gained about EGP 4.47 billion after transactions worth EGP 820.9 million.
The EGX 30 benchmark index soared 1.90 percent reaching 7,549.97 points.
The broader EGX 70 index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) increased 0.45 percent to hit 370.30 points.
The all-embracing EGX 100 index also rose by 0.73 percent to close at 780.71 points.
