The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) indexes showed mixed performance at the close of Wednesday's trading amid sales by local investors and institutions.
The market capital gained about EGP 1.7 billion, reaching EGP 814.1 billion, after transactions hit EGP 1.6 billion.
The EGX 30 benchmark index closed at 14,582.22 points.
Also, the broader EGX 70 index of the leading small and mid-cap enterprises (SMEs) went down by 0.86 percent, standing at 795.43 points.
Meanwhile, the all-embracing EGX 100 index went down by 0.39 percent, recording 1,852.16 points.
