Matrouh Governor Alaa Abu Zeid signed on Friday contracts to implement eight investment projects in the governorate.
The projects will be implemented in the fields of services, industry and tourism, at a total cost of EGP 2.2 billion
The governor said that this comes after the success of the 1st Matrouh international economic conference that was held in Marsa Matrouh city in 2015. The conference helped in attracting 18 investment projects to the governorate at a cost of EGP 120 billion, he added.
He also hailed President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's keenness on achieving development in Egypt via surpassing challenges facing investors and facilitating procedures, stressing the importance of benefiting from the new investment law.
