Xi: China and US determined to reach climate accord

China and the US are determined that a climate change conference in Paris next year will reach a deal, President Xi Jinping said on Wednesday.
"We agreed to make sure that international climate change negotiations will reach an agreement in Paris," Xi told reporters in Beijing. Obama said that a joint announcement on the two countries' emissions targets was a "historic agreement" and a "major milestone in the US-China relationship".
