US: China, US agree on need for strong Syria resolution

US Secretary of State John Kerry and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi agreed in talks Thursday on the need for a UN Security Council resolution on Syria, a US official said. Kerry and Wang "were in strong agreement" on the need to act quickly for "a mandatory and binding UN Security Council resolution," the official said.
