Putin: EU leaders should end sharp words on Ukraine

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday called for European leaders to stop their "sharp words" on the situation in Ukraine and said a Ukraine-EU free trade agreement would be a "major threat" to Russia's economy. "I ask our friends in Brussels to hold back on the sharp words," Putin said during a visit to Italy, adding: "Do we have to choke entire sectors of our economy for them to like us?"
