PM: Ukraine seeks 20 billion euros in EU financial aid

Ukraine would like to secure a 20-billion-euro ($27.5-billion) loan from the European Union before it signs a historic association pact with the 28-nation bloc, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said on Wednesday. "We propose to resolve this issue through the offering to Ukraine of financial assistance. We have determined its approximate size -- 20 billion euros," Azarov told a government meeting in televised remarks.
