Official data: Russia reports 1.2% third-quarter growth

Russia's economy grew at an annual rate of 1.2 percent in the third quarter, the state statistics committee reported on Tuesday, confirming an earlier estimate by the government. The annual rate, the slowest among the big emerging markets and less than half the pace in the United States, was the same as in the second quarter and slower than the 1.6-percent rise witnessed in the first three months of the year.
