OECD urges ECB to step up quantitative easing

The OECD said Thursday that the European Central Bank should step up its support for the eurozone economy which it said poses a major risk to world growth.
The ECB "should expand its monetary support beyond currently announced measures ... This should include a commitment to sizable asset purchases ("quantitative easing") it said in a report as the central bank was holding its monthly monetary policy meeting at which it was not expected to announce any new measures.
