Japan PM Abe: Asked China's Xi for maritime hotline

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe asked Chinese President Xi Jinping to establish a hotline aimed at preventing clashes at sea, after frequent sparring between paramilitary vessels in the waters around disputed islands, he said Monday.
