Japan consumer prices up 0.7% on year in July

Japan's consumer prices rose 0.7 percent in July, posting year-on-year growth for the second straight month, data showed Friday. The reading, which excludes volatile prices of fresh food, follows a 0.4 percent rise in June, according to the internal affairs ministry.
