Italian PM: Berlusconi sentence must be respected

Italian Prime Minister Enrico Letta on Wednesday said court rulings must be respected in a clear reference to his rival Silvio Berlusconi ahead of a crucial confidence vote in his government. "In a democratic state, all sentences must be applied," Letta told lawmakers in the Senate to loud jeering from Berlusconi supporters
