Indian police arrest guru after violent stand-off

Indian police on Wednesday arrested a self-styled "godman" after a violent stand-off with thousands of followers at his ashram, where the bodies of four women and a child were found.
Local police spokesman Ranjit Singh told AFP that Rampal Maharaj, who is wanted on a series of charges including conspiracy to murder, had been arrested.
