Draghi: ECB preparations underway for more easing moves

The European Central Bank is actively preparing additional measures to ward off deflation in the euro area, should they become necessary, ECB chief Mario Draghi said on Thursday.
"The governing council has tasked ECB staff and the relevant Eurosystem committees with ensuring the timely preparation of further measures to be implemented, if needed," Draghi told reporters after the central bank held its key interest rates steady at its regular policy meeting.
