Canada central bank keeps key rate at 1%

Canada's central bank maintained its key lending rate at one percent on Wednesday, citing concerns about low inflation. Inflation is being held down by "excess supply," lower gasoline prices and "heightened competition in the retail sector, which look to be more persistent than anticipated," the Bank of Canada said in a statement
