Britain names non-resident chargé d'affaires to Iran

Britain's foreign ministry named the head of its Iran department as its new non-resident chargé d'affaires to Iran on Monday, in a move towards restoring diplomatic ties. "Ajay Sharma has been appointed the UK's non-resident chargé d'affaires to Iran. Mr Sharma will take up his appointment immediately," the Foreign Office said in a statement.
