BlackBerry shares dive 15% after abandons company sale

BlackBerry shares plunged 15 percent Monday in early trade after the embattled technology company announced it was abandoning a plan to sell itself and appointed a new interim chief executive. BlackBerry, struggling to keep up with a smartphone market it once led, said it would receive a $1 billion infusion from Fairfax Financial Holdings and other institutional investors.
