'Assad will not go' Syrian minister insists at peace talks

Syria's information minister insisted at peace talks Wednesday that President Bashar al-Assad will not step down, suggesting that support for the opposition amounts to backing Al-Qaeda. "Assad will not go," minister Omran al-Zohbi said on the sidelines of a peace conference in the Swiss town of Montreux. "If you want to support Al-Qaeda, go ahead."
