2 dead after Dutch hostage standoff

Two unidentified people died after an hours-long hostage drama in southern Netherlands when a divorced man held his three-year-old toddler captive, police said on Thursday. "Two people have been killed after a hostage situation," Limburg province police spokesman Jack van Kleef told AFP, confirming the drama had ended.
