McIntire shares new Christian romance novel

Yvonne Lee McIntire’s sweet and light-hearted new book, Nuiloha: A Pineapple Plantation Story, ($17.99, paperback, 9781498413367; $7.99, e-book, 9781498413374) paints an accurate and insightful picture of pineapple plantation living in Hawaii in the mid- to late 1900s. Yvonne Lee McIntire, born on Oahu, and raised on a pineapple planation near Wahiawa, currently resides on the island of Maui, on a bluff overlooking the ocean. As a spirit filled believer, she has taught Sunday school to hundreds of children in Assembly of God churches on Maui, and was active in women’s ministries. She has taught Bible studies for women, and was elected recording secretary of the Maui Women’s Aglow, writing their monthly newsletters. Alongside her husband, she has hosted many home Bible studies, and has provided a hospitality ministry to visiting evangelists and gospel teachers. Out of all the hats she wears, the author’s favorite one is that of the role of “tutu” (granny) to her two grandchildren.
