
Tropical Storm Jerry was moving west with little change in strength Tuesday, weather forecasters said. Jerry, with maximum sustained winds of 40 mph, was about 1,375 miles east of Bermuda and 1,195 miles west-southwest of the Azores, moving west at 1 mph, the National Hurricane Center in Miami said in its 5 a.m. EDT advisory. No coastal watches or warnings were in effect. Jerry was expected to shift north later Tuesday, with a faster motion toward the northeast expected by Thursday, forecasters said. Little change in strength is expected in the next 48 hours. Tropical storm-force winds extend outward from center up to 45 miles.
