Public prosecution team probes Mar Gerges Church explosion

Prosecutor General on Nabil Sadeq tasked an extended public prosecution team to move to the scene of Mar Gerges Church explosion in Tanta and launch investigation into the terrorist attack.
In a statement to MENA on Sunday, Sadeq said that he is closely following up the explosion, adding that directives were issued to the public prosecution to swiftly take necessary legal measures in this regard.
The prosecutor general also entrusted the National Security apparatus and bodies concerned to probe the attack and bring its perpetrators and inciters to justice.
The prosecutor general's directives included assigning forensic medicine to examine the corpses of the martyrs to find out the reason behind the deaths and issue burial permits.
