Dr Mirza receives eurolight's regional director

Minister of State for Electricity and Water Affairs Dr. Abdulhussain bin Ali Mirza received here today the Regional Director of the German company Eurolight for Operation Development John Decker and the Board Chairman of the Gudaibiya Contracting and Construction Ghalib Mahmoud Al Mahmoud. During the meeting, Dr. Mirza was briefed by John Decker briefed on Eurolight's operations and products, especially the LED street lamps (light-emitting diode (LED)) regarding their accuracy, efficiency, low power consumption and long and predictable lifetime. He said that the Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) is interested in taking advantage of technology in upgrading the efficiency of its services and rationalizing energy consumption, requesting the concerned sides to benefit from the LED road lamps. Also present were the CEO of EWA Shaikh Nawaf bin Ibrahim bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Vice-Chief Executive for Distribution and Customer Services Eng. Adnan Mohammed Fakhro and Director of Electricity and Water Conservation Rana Salloum.
